How to reset a Alcatel Lucent OmniSwitch to factory default



Here how that you can reset an OmniSwitch to factory default configuration


Models: OS6850, OS6400, OS6250


Login to switch via console



> ls working/


(list content of working folders)


> ls certified/


(list content of certified folders)



> delete working/boot.cfg


> delete certified/boot.cfg




next restart the switch,


> reload


Once the switch is restarted, it back to factory default
